Hand-in-Paw, Inc. offers a unique and rewarding intern experience for college students interested in graphic design, journalism, communications, public relations, nonprofit administrations, and special events.

You can gain valuable experience in these fields through participation in feature and news writing, graphic design, media relations, fundraising, digital photography, event planning, website development and possibly video production.

Iinterns selected will be provided with all appropriate office materials. The position is based out of the organization's headquarters, off Red Mountain Expressway in downtown Birmingham , near St. Vincent 's Hospital. College credit is available, and the schedule should be agreeable to both Hand-in-Paw, as well as the student. 

Summer interns will be busier than most. Our annual fundraising event, Picasso Pets, is held in August and preparations begin in spring and last all summer.  Because of this, we require that summer interns work at least 30 hours a week.
